This project included properties that were located across a large geographical area within the London Borough of Brent for the housing management team. We provided general refurbishment and specialist electrical services on behalf of Wates to over 2500 homes across a 24 month period. We scheduled a 2 appointment schedule of works, the first being EICR reports followed up with a second to carry out completion of works within 7 days. This meant the least disruption to residents. Additions to the programme consisted of the refurbishment of over 50 void properties and resurfacing to 15 housing estates.
Gaining access to such a large number of properties across various locations required excellent Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) communication and operational organisation to alleviate logistical issues and ensure works could be carried out to the required programme. We batched locations and arranged a back-up list of quick access properties that we could transfer to if no access was given on the arranged day. We also had to work closely with the Asbesto contractor by having weekly scheduling meetings to avoid clashes and ensure they programmed their labour so timescales were achieved. Our excellent customer service contributed to Wates winning the Most Helpful Contractor at the Brent Resident Awards Ceremony
