Project Description

LMAC were contracted to provide refurbishment upgrades to properties across the whole of the London Borough of Newham’s housing stock. The scheme forms part of the councils £120m investment programme, to drive up standards and ensure their residents homes are safe and well maintained  We worked side by side the councils housing team, meaning we had direct access to client information and works instructions. This provided effective collaboration to programme works efficiently across the large geographical area.  Providing a turnkey service enabled us to sequence our tradesmen effectively and refurbish properties quickly, causing the least amount of disruption to residents.

Challenges

We had to ensure that we could gain access easily to properties to avoid delays to the programme of works so our Resident Liaison Officers communicated with residents at the earliest opportunity. Any vulnerable residents were identified and further measures taken to ensure they understood what we were going to be doing in their properties to avoid any distress.
